ACCA FIA Intermediate Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting

AIEOverviewThis is the second programme which falls under the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA’s) new Foundations in Accountancy series. Although it builds on the basics learnt in the Introductory Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting programme, you do not need to have completed it before commencing with this programme and no prior knowledge or experience is required. This programme is ideal for school leavers or those already working in the junior accounts field who would like to start making their way up the corporate ladder by taking on the bookkeeping role in a medium-sized organisation. This is the second subject in the ACCA FIA Intermediate Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting Programme. On completion of this course the student would have gained the knowledge and understanding of the principles and techniques used in recording, analysing and reporting costs and revenues for internal management purposes. This subject allows the student to develop applicable cost concepts in making short term decisions and the application of spreadsheets in management accounting.

Question: Can you take single modules within a qualification? Answer: Yes, each qualification or level will consist of multiple modules. Each module can be done individually but it is recommended that the entire qualification be done.

On successful completion of this qualification, you can articulate into the following: • You are now eligible to further your studies with ACCA and can enrol in the ACCA FIA Certified Accounting Technician• Direct access into the National Diploma: Financial Accounting, Level 1 • Direct access into the CIMA programmes.

Admission Requirements

This program is governed by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).Upon completion of this module, you will receive:• Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting• Learners can apply to use the designation Chartered Certified Accountant and the letters ACCA on completion of ALL modules, the examinations, the ethics module and practical experience requirements. ACCA's qualification provides an internationally recognized accountancy qualification.

Mode of Delivery

Full Time • 4 months (+-1 Months/Module, 10 Sessions/Week, 2:00 hours each, +- 2 ½ day/week, class times are between 08:30 & 16:00)• All credits are achieved via your study duration at the institute plus certification exams.

Online & Part Time • Part-Time = 4 months (+-1 Months/Module, 2 Hours/week, every 2nd Saturday 08:00 - 14:00) • Online =4 months (+-1 Months/Module, Online live Q&A or structured classes, 2 Hours/week, 18:00 - 20:00) • Credits are obtained through a combination of live virtual classes, pre-recorded video lectures, and project-based tasks.

*Sessions will be grouped together to lower cost of traveling, however, in some cases classes may not follow this convention and schedules are subject to change. *Duration is relative to student input and dedication.
