is like competing in the Modern Pentathlon

Disciplines of the modern pentathlon

ShootingUse a 4.5mm air

pistol in a standing position from 10m

at a stationary target. Each

competitor gets 20 shots

pentathlon

FencingEach competitor will

face all other competitors once. The first fencer to score a hit wins

instantly.

SwimmingA 200m freestyle

race.

Disciplines of the modern pentathlon

RidingShow jumping over a

course with 12- 15 obstacles. Competitors are paired with horses

just 20 minutes before the start of the event.

RunningA 3km cross-country race. Competitors are ranked according to their score

from the first four disciplines and given

different start times, with the leader going first.
