PROJECT LOCATION Ninemile Creek flows in a northeasterly direction through the town of Camillus, Onondaga County, New York. The project limits extend approximately 1,300 feet upstream of the Warners Road Bridge.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project work consisted of a clearing and snagging operation along the bed and banks of Ninemile Creek to create better conditions for passage of water. A small dam and shoals were removed.
AUTHORIZATION
Clearing and snagging for flood control in Ninemile Creek, Amboy, New York, was authorized under Section 208, of the Flood Control Act of 1954, as amended.
PROTECTION PROVIDED
The project was designed to reduce the threat of stream bank overtopping and the resultant flooding in the hamlet of Amboy.
CONSTRUCTION HISTORY
Clearing and snagging of the project area was completed in September 1979 by H. J. Benedict Sons, West Monroe, New York, under contract.
