Bistro Dining OptionWe are excited to roll out a new evening meal option for you in September. Asplans get finalized, we will communicate the details of our new Bistro dining
program. The Bistro dining is to allow more flexibility for our residents to eat andhave a meal option later in the day. We’ll begin offering a daily selection of tasty,
nutritious, and flavorful menu items in the afternoon, possibly from 4 to 6 p.m.There will be a culinary staff attendant working in the Bistro to serve you asneeded. The plan is to provide a “lighter fare” meal option by offering menu
items, such as homemade soups, hot entree items, Panini sandwiches, entreesalads, desserts, and assorted beverages. We’re planning to offer this Bistro
dining option as a “meal credit” for residents regardless of which meal plan youparticipate in, or as an “a la carte” charge. We want to provide more choice,
flexibility, and convenience with our culinary program. As always, your feedbackand recommendations are always welcome. Bon Appétit!

Pat Nemec was born in Chicago on March 3, 1928, and marriedto John for forty-one years. She has four musically talented children, eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Pat is anaccomplished musician, having received a Bachelor of Arts Degreein piano and a second Bachelor of Arts Degree in pipe organ. Herparents were also musically inclined and great singers. At the age ofeight her father received a piano in lieu of a paycheck. When heaccepted the piano that day, Pat’s future was foretold! Pat studiedpiano with an instructor from Switzerland from 1936 to 1941. Afterhigh school, she studied at Sherwood Music School and worked asan executive secretary for eight years. It took Pat twenty years tocomplete six years of college. That is determination! Pat has touredAmerica, the Far East, the Middle East, and much of Europe. Sheperformed in three Master classes in Vienna with the World Master,Hanns Kann, Professor of Vienna Hochshule Fur Musik, JorgeDemus and Paul Badura Skoda, international concert pianists. Patspent thirty-five years as a teacher, performed in church ministries, has been a soloist for local symphony orchestras, and has been anaccompanist for several choral groups. She brought the sound ofmusic to many people. She now relaxes, reads, and visits! We arehappy to have Pat as a vital member of American House Cedarlake!
