• Uses an SDR transceiver and amplifiers to provide all modes and all bands.
• Modular design• Easily expandable• Portable• Dual/Cross Band capability• New software uploadable from ground• Mode/frequency selectable from ground
• Can be software based/controlled.• Requires Ipad for local user interface.• Can limit access to permitted bands via software• Can connect to ISS audio/video system• Can connect TNC’s, SSTV, Digital voice memory
modules,DATV, etc.• System suitable for DATV bandwidths.• Switch for manually selecting preset modes/freqs
• Modes– FM, SSB, packet, SSTV,DATV
• Uplink bands– 10m, 2m, 70cm, 23cm, 13cm
• Downlink bands– 10m, 2m, 70cm, 13cm

• Tasks– SDR Transmitter/Receiver module – RF switching & coupling module– Audio interface module– Controller interface module– Controller interface software– Packet software
• Tasks (continued)– Antennas – RF, power, & control penetrations– Power Supply– Internal & External wiring– Wireless remote station– Integration & configuration control
• Issues• funding• need to decide who does what (hardware, software, testing,
safety, etc.)• frequencies
• Summary– flexible, upgradeable, expandable– Meets all ARISS requirements and ISS specifications– promotes international participation
