Hello People!
Spring is here and we are excited! It’s so nice to get out and see the wonderful signs of life springing up everywhere!
Our volunteers are a lot like spring. Everyone is happy to see them and they make our center bright and colorful with all the goodness they bring each day!
Every day, our volunteers come to the center ready to help serve you. Whether it’s greeting you at the door, serving a meal, setting up for activities and games, leading a class, organizing the Nifty Nook, driving the bus, helping on trips, delivering meals, or calling BINGO- they are the heart of the center! As we continue to grow, the work that the volunteers do increases. They are here out of the goodness of their heart. Be sure to say “Thank you” when you see a volunteer.
Cheers! Kathy and Dawn

fortunate to have an Alzheimer Support Group right here at our center! They meet the 3rd
Monday of each month at 7:00 pm. If you or someone you know is a caregiver, this is a great community of support. All are welcome. The next meeting is Monday, April 16th at 7:00 pm.
It’s Spring Cleaning Time! Downsizing? Doing some spring cleaning projects around the home? Remember the Nifty Nook ! We take new and gently used items that we can sell. Unfortunately, due to space, larger items will not work for us. The profits from the Nook stay at the center for food, parties, bus upkeep, entertainment, decorations etc

Winner Winner!– Jonathon Jones was our lucky cal-cutta winner! He won $212.00 and
returned the entire amount to the center! What a win - $424.00 to the Center! Cal-cutta funds stay at the center for our use. Last month we had a singer and rented a soft ice cream machine. Both were funded by cal-cutta winnings. Thank you to everyone who played.
St. Patrick Day T-Shirt raffle. We had a donation of 4 St. Patrick’s Day Shirts to raffle
off. The winners were: Millie Cherney, Larry Gold, and Jim Nabors won 2 shirts.
Road Trips! Starting April 1st we will be taking reservations for these fun outings. Both trips
are $5.00 for the bus. You will need to bring your own money for lunch and gambling.
For our first outing you need to grab your lucky charm and some money because we are going to Winna Vegas! We will leave here at 8:30 am on Wednesday, April 25th.
Our second trip is to Lincoln NE to tour the state capitol. Last year, we filled our bus 3 times for this this! It’s very educational, a great way to spend the day. Who knows, maybe you’ll see Scott Frost! We will stop and have lunch before going on our 45 minute capitol tour, which starts at 2:00 pm . The tour date is Monday, April 30th at 11:00 am.
