Every day at the Y, we work to make our community stronger. That work simply wouldn’t be possible without a strong financial foundation. Our YMCA mission and our financial commitments go hand-in-hand. We are dedicated to providing children, families and individuals with the support and resources they need to be more healthy, confident, connected and secure.
The Whatcom Family YMCA is committed to the effective stewardship of resources entrusted to us by our donors. Our goal is to maximize benefits to our members and participants as we meet expenses and use remaining funds to invest in our facilities, technology and other capital improvements.

TOGETHER WE
STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY
• Financial assistance requests from the community we serve grow each year.
• Awards for child care allow single and dual-working parents to know their child is safe and learning in a happy, enriching environment.
• Camp scholarships provide kids the opportunity to make new friends, try new things and explore the outdoors - all while having fun and building lifelong memories.
• Membership awards and program assistance empower individuals and families to pursue their interests with a focus on staying healthy- regardless of inability to pay.
• In addition to direct financial assistance, we also subsidize mission-based programs that meet critical, unmet community needs, such as our shower pass program.
