Results revealed that Cry1Ac expression in all the tested lines was found to be lower than the expression level recommended by USDA (1.5 µg/g fresh leaf weight) is alarming as it will result in developing resistance for Cry1Ac in the target insect, thus may deprive the farmer of the benefit of Bt technology.
