CUBA MISSION TRIP – There is an opening on our next mission trip to Taguasco, Cuba this November 21 – 24. Once again, we will be taking items they are unable to access in Cuba. These items include over the counter medications, reading glasses, flash drives and more. A list of accepted items has been provided for you in the Fellowship Hall, along with a box for your donations. Please stop by and pick up a copy today. The last day for donations is next Sunday, November 17. BIBLE STUDY OPEN HOUSE – Make sure to stop by our Bible study and small group Open House in the Fellowship Hall to meet with our leaders to learn more about the latest studies we have available for you here at 1st Church.
MEN’S FELLOWSHIP DINNER – Holocaust survivor, Cesare Frustaci, will share his amazing story at the next Men’s Fellowship Dinner on November 18 at 6 pm in the Life Center. Everyone is invited for the program at 6:40 pm. LADIES FALL FESTIVAL FLING - Tickets are on sale now for the Ladies Fall Festival and “Thank Offering” on Saturday, November 23 at 11:30 am in the Life Center. You will not want to miss the fun, fellowship, catered meal, and a special program on the Power of Prayer. Tickets are $15 per person and are available at the Gazebo in the main parking lot.

MANDATORY CHILD & YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING – The Mandatory Children and Youth protection policy training is now available on whatis1st.com/cypt. This is a video based training, and all you must do is watch the video and follow the provided instructions. All church staff, Illuminate & United 4 Him volunteers and ministry leaders on campus during children and youth programs must go through this training as soon as possible.
HELP SUPPORT MOTHERS OF PRESCHOOLERS! – This January we are starting a Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) program. We are in need of a few kid cuddlers for infants to preschool aged children, one Tuesday a month. For more information, contact the Church office or fill out the Connect Card.
ILLUMINATE NEEDS YOU! - Our Illuminate team is in need of two people to help serve as LEAD teachers for Good News Club on Thursdays at Sallie Jones Elementary School in Punta Gorda starting in January. We will also need a Connect Kid’s Lead Teacher on Sunday nights starting in June 2020. If you would like to learn more, contact Tammy, [email protected]!

CRAFT GROUP - The craft group will continue to meet on Tuesday morning from 9 am – 11am at Rosalie Wilford's house, 2111 Bayou Road, Punta Gorda. We are crocheting and knitting baby blankets for Careline Pregnancy Center in Port Charlotte.
A MESSAGE FROM THE CHURCH OFFICE – In recognition and observance of Veterans’ Day, the church office and Bargain Boutique will be closed tomorrow, November 11.
THANKSGIVING UPDATE - There will be a host and hostess meeting today following the 9:15 service in room 5. Anyone who would like to volunteer as a host or hostess for our guests will need to attend the meeting. Volunteer forms are now available at all entrances for you to pick up and complete today. You may place them in the offering plate or give them to an usher or greeter.
SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS SEMINAR – Today is the last day to register for our Surviving the Holidays Seminar this Saturday at 9 am in the Life Center.
