GENERAL JOB FUNCTION
The Business Intelligence Data Architect (BIDA) develops and maintains DNW’s data management and governance practice that manages enterprise information lifecycle needs in an effective manner. The BIDA develops and drives data management and governance strategies by working directly with all levels of management, lines of business and technology to ensure alignment and dedication to the overall strategic objectives of the organization, in coordination with business intelligence strategies that support business processes and business process improvement initiatives.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, establish and maintain a data warehouse and cube services including ETL processes from DNW’s Electronic Medical Record and other data sources. Tune to optimize performance and stability
Design and develop flexible data solutions to meet ever-changing company needs. Design and develop integration/connections to various external data sources to feed data
warehouse or other internal data stores Design and develop integrations/connections to various internal systems to support
business processes such as Call Center Management, Customer Service and key operational applications.
Oversee application development in Microsoft SharePoint and other platforms to collect and provide data needed for operational requirements.
Establish and maintain a report center for dissemination of standard reports, key performance indicators, trending, scorecards, history, etc.
Develop mobile business intelligence solutions for information dissemination to field staff and management.
Collaborate with Performance Improvement, Quality Systems, and stakeholders to analyze and define data requirements needed to support the business processes; verify accurate data reporting; and integrate the data requirements throughout the data systems
Oversee the development standardized reports in collaboration with stakeholders Develop Business Intelligence based cubes, standard queries and data sets for BI
reporting in collaboration with Performance Improvement, Business Intelligence and stakeholders
Facilitate data auditing and accuracy processes Collaborate with IT systems group to provide a secure infrastructure that supports data-
related systems; database replication; data warehouse and cube; SharePoint integration; Business Intelligence tools for end users.
Keep up to date with eye, organ, and tissue industry regulations, standards, guidance and requirements such as those promulgated by CMS, FDA, UNOS, AOPO, HIPAA, AOPO, and AATB; as related to primary job function
Establish and maintain standard processes, procedures, and change management, as applicable, for functions within the DSM scope of accountability
Manages performance of direct report(s) consistent with DNW’s expectations. Perform other duties as assigned.

Working technical experience designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting multi-gigabyte data warehouses
Strong understanding and experience with Microsoft SQL Server database platform and SQL Server reporting and Analytics Services (SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS)
Good understanding of the Microsoft SharePoint platform Strong background in analytical cube development supporting in depth data analysis Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices Hands-on experience with business intelligence, data architecting, data mining, large
scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering / analysis
Familiarity with utilization and integration of SaaS environment databases Understanding of machine learning functionality and services. Familiarity with network architecture and performance requirements In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems; including
Microsoft products, SharePoint, Windows, IE, visual studio, TFS, and others Data modeling in OLAP plus working technical knowledge of current systems software,
protocols, and standards, including SQL, TSQL, ODBC, .NET and Business Intelligence Standards
Understanding of scripting such as JSON, jQuery, apple xcode and other app development languages.
Knowledge of big data tools and systems such as Hadoop, MapReduce, NoSQL useful Experience with BI tools such as SiSense, R Studio, Looker, Qlikview, Tableau or other in
this class.
Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving / trouble-shooting

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in field of computer science, information systems, computer engineering or similar field, and minimum 6 years of direct work experience
Equivalent of 10 years equivalent work experience may be substituted for education qualification
Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) highly desired. Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) Certification or Microsoft Certified
solution Developer (MCSD) or Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) pluses Experience in Eye, Organ, and Tissue industry management helpful
