SIGNIFICANCE People that live near the Alps need the
Alps to live. They get food, water, wood off the mountains.
Otzi was found in the Alps in the early 90s on the Italian side of the Alps.
He was one of the historical features of
the Alp mountains.
USES OF THE ALPS Most people that live on the Alps or
close to the alps have a cow or cow herds that graze on the mountain sides.
People also love to ski all over the Alps.
WEATHER The Alps effect most of the weather
around that area. (rain shadows, avalanches and landslides.)
If there is a storm coming then the Alps will block the storm from coming and hitting the houses or buildings on the other side of the mountain.
EFFECT ON HISTORY The Alps provided a natural barrier that
help parts of Europe from Enemies when they were getting attacked.
It would make it harder for them because the Alps are rough terrain.
FARMING The picture is crops that the Japanese
had planted on the Alps mountains.
One of the main types of cow that most people had was a Swiss cow.
A lot of people in the 1300s had sheep and goats instead of cows but now days most people have cows.
TOURISM The Alp mountains are a very
popular place for people to visit. There is a lot of activities for
people to do such as ride on the trains, ski, snowboarding and ride bike

RESPONSE I think that the Alps would be a cool
place to go snowboarding or hunting.
I would like to go on the train over the steep and rough parts of the mountains.
Of all of the pictures I see of them they look like they would be good farm land.
