Plants

• Alaska plants have big long roots so they can go deep into the soil so they can get water.

• The only area plants can’t grow is the timberline, which is where the altitude is so high that plants can not grow any more.

• Alaskan plants have to survive hot summers and very harsh winters.

• The Northern lights are one of the main things that attracts people to go to Alaska.

• The Northern lights surprise people every time they see them even if they see them every night.

• Alaska superimposed over the other states is bigger than 47 of them.

• Alaska contains 17 out of 20 highest peaks in the United States.

• Alaska is the biggest state in the U.S but has the smallest population ( it’s population is even smaller than Rhode Island ).
