DOMAIN IV: PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES IN SUPPORT OF DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION & ASSESSMENT
Teaching Philosophy
Original/Beginning
* Differential teaching is essential for student success
* Students don’t learn the same way and are unique in their own way
* Teachers are role models to their students
* Teachers should be able to interpret behaviors on a individual basis
Current/Present
*I still feel this philosophy is accurate with education today.
*A teacher wears many hats any given day of the week.
*The standard of presenting a concept and students get it on the first attempt rarely exist.
*Teachers today have to be willing to think out of the box.
A teacher needs to provide a nurturing and caring environment.
Students need to feel the teacher is concerned about their success.
