Summary I am a systems administrator and independent network consultant with a robust networking
background, including network troubleshooting, and I have a strong knowledge of firewalls, routers, modems, networking, and Internet Protocols. I have worked as a network engineer for multiple companies and as an IT manager. I am comfortable reviewing and analyzing PCAPs and have been familiar with such since the mid-1990s. I have been familiar with BitTorrent protocol and the various programs related to it.

Offer IT services and network engineering to small-to-medium-sized private businesses. Microsoft, Apple, VMWare, Linux, and cloud-based platforms supported. Designed, implemented, and maintained local and wide-area networks for a diverse client base. Platforms included Windows NT, Windows 98/95, Novell Netware, and Linux. Setup email servers, Internet connectivity, Digital Alphaservers, NT Small Business Server.
IT Manager (Transportation Engineering) September 1997 to August 1998
Setup and maintained a WAN between three offices across Florida, Windows-based servers, Linux-based email system, CADNet Plot Stations, Cisco & Ascend routers, SQL-based CFMS Accounting.
Onsite Network Engineer (Internet Access Group) February to August 1997
As an onsite network engineer for an Internet Service Provider (later bought out by Earthlink), I set up on-site network connections, including ISDN, for corporate customers, and senior-level telephone support. Used Ethereal (n/k/a Wireshark) for troubleshooting network connections.

Performed various short-term projects for multiple companies, including: Flight Safety: Access/SQL Server database programming, programmed computer-based training applications in Authorware; Thomas Computer Corporation: Assembled computer systems; Westinghouse/TAD Tech Services: Installed and supported Windows 95 systems, help desk & tech support for a large variety of software; IBM-TSS/Aerotek: Site surveyor for large-scale systems upgrade for Amsouth Bank, planned system install, & coordinated with network engineers; DPT / SystemOne: Performance analysis technician- benchmark hardware RAID controllers on many operating systems including AIX, SCO Unixware, GNU/Linux, Windows, Novell Netware, FreeBSD, SCO Unix, NextStep, etc
