Workforce Pathways ScholarshipTrident Technical College (TTC) Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development is pleased to offer a new installment of the Workforce Pathways Scholarship.

The Workforce Pathways Scholarship was funded by the South Carolina General Assembly through the South Carolina Technical College System.

Trident Technical College has funding available to provide scholarships to students who are current residents of South Carolina. The scholarship money can be used by students to pay for class tuition only. It is only available for use on qualified TTC continuing education courses within approved programs.

Who can apply for the scholarship?Eligibility for a scholarship is not based on financial need or prior academic performance, and the scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those interested in applying for the scholarship must currently reside in South Carolina.

Applicants must also be able to meet the physical and program requirements of their chosen program of study and follow the instructions provided at orientation.

It is the policy of Trident Technical College that no discrimination on the grounds of race, color, disability, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, gender identity, pregnancy, or national or ethnic origin will exist in any area of the college.

How can I apply for the scholarship?• Interested students can apply for scholarships

Sept. 13-27, 2018.

• Visit www.tridenttech.edu/ce, click on Funding Opportunities and review the basic requirements of the Workforce Pathways Scholarship.

• If you meet the basic requirements, decide which day you can attend a mandatory orientation session at which you will receive an application form. Orientation sessions are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and

10 a.m. Thursdays, Sept. 13-27 in Bldg. 920, Rm. 791 at Thornley Campus

(formerly Main Campus), 7000 Rivers Ave., North Charleston.

• Review materials given to you at orientation, determine your top three choices of programs to enter and identify class dates for those programs that fit your schedule.

• Collect all required proof documents and complete your application forms. Bring application forms and proof documents to the same building where you attended orientation and give the materials to the registration office.

• A continuing education program manager notifies you of the program for which you are approved to enter and registers you for the appropriate classes.

• All those applying for the WPS scholarship are not guaranteed funding. Funds are dispersed on a first-come, first-served basis.
