Interconnectedne
ss
n.--having internal connections between the parts or elements
Merriam-Webster Dictionary
"Life doesn't make any sense without
interdependence. We need each other, and the sooner we learn
that, the better for us all."
Erik Erikson
MU Cohort Model
The cohort can be compared to an ecosystem.
All of the parts make the system work due to the interconnectedness of the components, the people.
During my time in the program, I have interacted and depended upon many people involved in the cohort.
The collaborative nature of the program has been greatly beneficial to me and provided support that I needed.
We may all be different, but we are connected to education is some fashion.

CI 702 Curriculum Theory “…curriculum theory is often an intangible, almost mythical, concept that may be difficult to grasp and seem impractical in education…” (Wood, 2013)
Came away with an understanding that there are certain theories and theorists that align with my teaching style and beliefs about learning.

Next Steps
What have I learned about C& I and Leadership Studies?
I want to see and help make a change in pubic education that is lasting.
I believe we need to work with teachers and universities to make this change.
I want to lead with compassion, experience, adaptability, knowledge, and desire to serve.
Collaboration and creating connections among stakeholders in education is the key to change.
Dissertation ThoughtsI am interested in why females seem to lose interest and ability in STEM fields as they age.
Are there ways we can boost their interest and achievement levels?
My next step is to develop a problem statement and narrow down a topic that will add to the body of literature in a meaningful way.
Quantitative study with interviews.
