TO: John Doe and any individual who may claim a paternal interestin the abovenamed child.YOU ARE HEREBY SUMMONED AND NOTIFIED that a hearing on aPetition for the Termination of Parent and Child Relationship will beheard on August 14, 2020 at 9:00 a.m., or at such date or time there-after as the Court may direct, in the Snohomish County Courthouse,3000 Rockefeller Avenue, Everett, Washington 98201, in the court-room assigned by the Court Administrator for the Family Law Mo-tions Calendar, where in S. Jones, mother of infant Boy Jones,alleges that you are or may be the father of said child S. Jones hasconsented to the adoption of said child who was born on June 17,2020 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The child is believed to have beenconceived on or around October 1, 2019 in the Bowling Green, Ken-tucky area. As an alleged father of said child, you have the right tofile a claim of paternity under RCW 26.26 and to seek custody of thechild, to support the child, and to seek to establish a parent and childrelationship. You have the right to be represented by counsel in thatproceeding and counsel will be appointed for an indigent person whorequests counsel. Your failure to appear at the hearing referred toabove or to respond to this Notice or the Termination Petition or filea claim of paternity within 30 days of the first date of publication ofthis Summons and Notice, will result in the termination of your parentand child relationship with respect to the child by default. Onemethod of responding to this Notice or the Termination Petition is tosend your response to the Clerk of the Court and to the attorney forPetitioners at the addresses listed below by certified mail with returnreceipt requested. You are further notified that if the child is a mem-ber of or eligible for membership in an Indian Tribe or Alaskan NativeVillage and if you acknowledge paternity of the child or if your pater-nity of the child is established prior to the termination of your par-ent-child relationship, your parental rights may not be terminatedunless you give valid consent to termination, or your parent-child re-lationship is terminated involuntarily pursuant to Chapter 26.33 or13.34 RCW.
