CLUBS

In aid of World Book Day, it was wonderful to see the Nursery - Year 4 children bring characters from‘Where the Wild Things Are’ and ‘Alice in Wonderland’ to life. Our visiting dance teacher, Nurene, from‘West End in Schools’ took the children through fast paced workshops creating scenes, whilst allowinglots of opportunity for free expression and creativity. Well done to all of our pupils who responded withtheir usual energy and enthusiasm! The workshop will be back for Years 5 - 8 on Thursday May 20th.Don't forget we are celebrating World Book Day at school on Tuesday May 18th.

YEAR 3In Art, Year 3 have been exploringnatural forms. They tookadvantage of the sunshine tocreate cyanotypes. Placingcollected objects from a walkonto the light sensitive paper, they stood back and watched thesunshine work its magic. Ghostimages were created from theobjects, leaving behind positiveand negative space.

Nature Club went to the pond thisweek and everyone had a ‘dip’. Theycaught tadpoles as well as a mayflynymph and a whirligig beetle. Allcatches were returned then to thepond and they will do another ponddip after half term to observe anyseasonal differences. If you areinterested in joining an after schoolclub, there are still a few spaces free, please check here for availability.
