We follow a philosophy of responsible environmental design throughout the construction and operation of our assets to minimise the impact on the environment by reducing energy consumption and waste. The roof is prepared for solar panels and when installed they will provide energy for the operation of the distribution centre.
Thisalsocontributestothefinancialperformance of our customers and to the reduction of their ecological footprint.
Case Study In Son and Breugel we installed 15,316 solar panels on the roof of our distribution centre occupied by Rhenus Contract Logistics. Every year more than 4,000,000 kWh will be generated. This solar power project was realised by KiesZon and was at that time the largest single roof solar power project in the Netherlands.
