Group Task: Your group is going to take a trip. It is your decision where you would like to go and for how long. You have $5000 to spend on the entirety of your trip. This includes transportation, lodging, and activities (museums, amusement parks, etc.). You will then present your vacation plan to the class.

It is your job as the itinerary planner to find activities for your group of four to do on your trip. These could include museums, amusement parks, theaters, anything you would like.
You must find how much it would cost for the FOUR of you to participate in the activity. Everyone must participate in every activity.

It is your job as the travel advisor to use your group’s destination and decide how you will travel to this vacation spot.
You can decide whether you will drive, fly, or use public transportation. However, keep in mind that if you drive, you must calculate the cost of gas. Although, you may assume that you already have a car. If you fly or use public transportation, you must calculate the price for all FOUR group members to travel.

As the lodging selector, it is your job to find lodging accommodations in the town your group wishes to travel to.
Lodging includes hotels, motels, resorts, cabins, etc.
Keep in mind that there are four people in your group and therefore, you will need to find a place that has sleeping accommodations for all FOUR of you.

As the accountant, you have the most important job. It is your responsibility to make sure that your group does not exceed the $5000 limit.
Therefore, you will need to bring the ideas of the other three members together and plan out the budget for your vacation.
To the right, you will find some resources that may be useful in calculating this budget. It may be easiest to find how much each person can spend on the trip and work backward from there.
