Photo Rally Scavenger Hunt (Our Signature Trip!) #1 Team Building Event
This is the best way to get out and enjoy a fun and spirited day of teams trying outshine
each other originality. A great team building event as it involves all members and their
ability to work together using their imagination and wit. Groups break out into teams
and off they go to collect pictures, memories and discover things about their team mates
they just never knew. Everyone participates and everyone plays an important role
within the team. Each team is assigned a guide and they are a strategic component in
the teams as they are faced with riddles and cryptic clues to steer them to the ‘winners
circle”. All throughout this expedition, the tour takes them to historical landmarks,
cultural points of interest and through the beautiful Sonoran desert. As they progress,
they accumulate specific objects, and as proof of their visit to these sites, teams are
required to photograph certain locations / scenarios – not typical photo’s but some
outrageous and outlandish ones.
All teams come together at the last stop of the hunt where judges / guides set up viewing of all photo’s and “treasures” each team has gathered
during their scavenger hunt. These items along serve as the basis for their adventure and are presented to the “judges” who make teams sing
songs, and tell tales of their adventure to score points. Everyone has fun here – guides participate in “helping” their team win any way they
can! This is one of the best team building events encompassing active participation from all members in a fun and comical environment. It’s
all about laughs and having fun on this one.

Jeep Desert Safari
A short ride to any one of the many desert trails (destination based in proximity and
group size), guides share the old west stories and history significant to the area.
Typical drive time to the desert trail is about 20 minutes. The ride takes us on off road
trails where guests will see a wide variety of local vegetation, mountain ranges and
breathtaking views all around them. These areas have beautiful natural desert
landscape, clear skies, and lots of fresh air to enjoy.
While on the trail, we always have the opportunity to stop along the way, and give
folks a first hand on look at the desert. Guides invite guests to join them on a nature
walk for about 30 minutes. This not only gives the guest the opportunity to stretch out,
but to get better understanding and firsthand look at the desert environment.
Lots of beautiful desert to enjoy, unique and interesting wildlife, and some great
company. A great way to get out and enjoy the rugged yet sensitive desert environment
found here in Arizona. Guests always find these tours to be fun and a learning
experience. Lots of new things to see and do in the desert!
“I thought it was all dry and dead out there, but it was really interesting to see and
learn about what the desert is all about. . . . The kids really liked the big Cactus...”

Desert Fishing Experience
Our fishing events are a quiet get away where guests will try their luck at the lake or
river side. Our state certified fishing guides will be there every step of the way with
insight as the local “secrets” fishing holes. Southwest Desert Adventures can cater to
every style of fisherman – from the well rounded experienced angler to the first timer.
Our guides take care of all the details so the guests can focus on the task of trying
their luck. They’ll have plenty of stories about the “one that got away” and maybe
even bring diner back for the crew! Arizona State requires all anglers have a fishing
license which we take care ahead of time and is included. We recommend a “Catch and Release” attitude to ensure a healthy and plentiful
stock. What a great way to relax while in Arizona

Sedona Day Trip
Sedona is renowned for its beautiful hillsides, magnificent mountain ranges, and of course, Red
Rocks! On this day, we depart your resort and travel directly to beautiful Sedona. Once there, we
will visit with Montezuma’s Indian ruins, Montezuma’s castle / Indian ruins is probably the most
spectacular Arizona ruin; an imposing 5-storey structure built into a recess in a white stone cliff
about 70 feet from the ground. Great photo opportunities and a short walk to get different
perspectives of this spectacular structure.
Then, off to old town Sedona where the group will have 2 hours free time for lunch, or to walk and
do a little shopping, or maybe even a side trip. Once we have re-grouped, our next stop is Jerome -
America's Most Vertical City" and "Largest Ghost Town in America". Once known as the
wickedest town in the west, Jerome was a copper mining camp, growing from a settlement of tents
to a roaring mining community. We’ll visit some sights and see if the old mining town is still as wicked
as it was back when. Guests have some time to shop the many great unique stores and art galleries for
trinkets and gifts.
At this point, it’s time to start back to the resort so sit back and relax a little while we travel back to your
resort. Your day is typically 7 hours including travel time so the earlier we start the more sunshine we’ll
see.

Day at the Ranch / Beach
Our Day at the Beach / Ranch provides multi-sport activities available from one location. This
assures everyone has the chance to participate and enjoy similar surroundings and local. Great
for windup days and to cater to different interests. The locations available provide all the
amenities and area beauty of Arizona. Guests will be appreciative of the gorgeous
environment and availability of the activities from one central location. Culture and history
surround these areas and guests will be treated to some of the best backcountry of Arizona.
Guests are bused in from the resort and once on site, guided to the start of their activity and off
they go. After the activities, they are all in one location and provide a simple ride home or
perhaps a wind up cowboy cookout. This is fast becoming a favorite among guests with its
multiple activities in one location especially where spouses are invited to participate.
Our “Day at the Ranch” program is an excellent way to offer multiple activities from a single venue. Guests can pre-register for their chosen
activity and enjoy these all from a single departure area. With a number of different venues available, we can offer a location close to your
accommodations.
As guests arrive to the launch point, we have the activities prepared and guides ready to go. Knowing who will be attending which event
makes our planning and organization simple, and allows us to maximize the guests time with us. Guests and planners enjoy the convenience of
the simplicity with transportation, and if desired, a lunch or snack at the end of the activity.
Jeep Tours, hiking, trail rides, and kayaking, mountain biking are all available as guests activity options. See the individual write ups for each
event for detailed information. We can also arrange a “cookout” to wind down the day and enjoy a great early evening cuisine and
entertainment “a la cowboy” style.

Cowboy Cookouts
We have to make note of adding a cookout to most any event. This is really a great
combination that is provides the perfect wind up to any gathering. Having guests
get away from the hotel conference room and brought together for an enjoyable
afternoon out in the beautiful Arizona outback, and then a very casual cowboy
cookout is really a great combination. We really enjoy putting this together as it’s
always a crowd pleaser!
