I Accept the
Challenge
If the student achieves a black out, meaing an “x” in ALL squares, that student will receive something extra special. Suggestions: pizza lunch with the teacher, teacher takes the student to putt putt golf, after school ice cream with the teacher, a star reader BragTag®, or anything you deem special.
Hint: Before students are allowed to place an "x" in their bingo square, ask students questions, or have them write something about what they've read. This helps you to know they've completed and understood the reading before they place an "x" in their square.

DON'T BUG ME I’M READING
3. BUG BINGO: Print the bug bingo chart and give one to each of your students. Depending on the grade level you teach, we've created two bug bingo boards. Page 3 of this PDF is a bug bingo board for grades K-2 and page 4 of this PDF is a bug bingo board for grades 3-5. Explain to your students they must fulll the requirements for a particular square (ex. reading a Newbery Award book), once the requirement if fullled they can place an "x" in the square for that requirement. Once a student gets a BUG BINGO (5 down or 5 across), they get a "I'm a BUG-TASTIC reader" BragTag®, or any treat of your choice.
Challenge your students to accept the DON’T BUG ME I’M READING CHALLENGE! The time period is up to you, it could take place over a few months, all school year, or over breaks. Everything you need for this fun READING CHALLENGE is in this PDF.
1. Sign Challenge Sheet: At the beginning of the time period you've specied, have your students sign the challenge sheet. The challenge sheet is the second page of this PDF. As students meet their goal, record the goal on this sheet for everyone to see. If you have more than 24 students, print 2 challenge sheets.
2. Powerful Motivator: Give each student a DON’T BUG ME I’M READING BragTag®,to begin the challenge, or anything els you deem special.
