huge: initial care KSh.300,000 to KSh500,000 Being the only spinal injury hospital in Kenya,
NSIH has a long waiting time for admission. Bed capacity 30
Patients admitted late with complications have increased cost of care.
Need to improve infrastructure, equipment and training to improve efficiency.
Initiatives to Bridge Gaps1. Public private partnerships PPP Local and international companies and
organizations; individuals and religious groups
2. Provision of Other services using available staff and equipment to generate funds: increased collection from 70,000 a month to 500,000 a month
3. Mobilizing spinal patients and community to register for NHIF

laundry and workshop (Safaricom and GOK) 15M

3. Refurbishment of patients wards, kitchen and nursing offices (Rotary, individuals, and local banks and companies) 15M
