What is Earned Income Tax Credit?

A tax credit for anyone who works

A tax credit unemployed workers can receive because they worked in the past

A federal income tax credit for low-incomeworkers who are eligible for and claim the credit

You are on the money!CORRECT!To receive Earned Income Tax Credit a person:• Must have earned income

• Must have a valid Social Security Number

• Is limited to $3100 investment income

• Cannot be "married filing separately”

• Generally must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien all year

• Cannot be a qualifying child of another person

• Cannot file Form 2555 or 2555-EZ (related to foreign earned income)
