INTRODUCTION
Derived from the Latin word somnus which mean
roman god of sleep.
Insomnia or sleeplessness is an individuals reported
having sleeping difficulties.
It is illness which one does not have the ability to fall
asleep when he or she desire.
How do you know if you are experiencing insomnia?Easywhen most people are sleeping at night, but
unfortunately, you cant.

Daytime fatigue.
Daytime sleepiness.

This can be prove by the amount of activity going atlate night. E.g. restaurant (N24) , sport facilities & in
college
This activity actually cost a lot of money & time from
student
Thus showing the effect of insomnia.

Major cause of insomnia is stress which in fact same
from the articles of Insomnia.net
The articles write that stress is a major the cause ofinsomnia
Followed by sleeping late in the evening which also
same as the articles from insomnia.net
Insomnia.net state poor sleep hygiene or lifestyle
contribute to insomnia

Surfing the internet has the percentage of 30%
Excellent internet facilities such as high speed
internet cable and wifi services are most likely to
contribute to this percentage
With high speed internet, students are bound to
download stuff like movies or facebooking untillate night.
Online gaming site may be a popular choice
amongst the students to waste their time

We can see that stress is the major effect amongst the
person who affected by insomnia
the insufficient sleep would probably the cause ofstress which the highest percentage in the pie chart
Insomnia have also known to give emotional effect to
the respondent with the percentage of 14%

The exhausted brain could lead to emotional
unstability
Loss of appetite and suicidal thought both have
the same lowest percentage which is 4%

Conclusion of the study
Based on the findings and research done, we can see
that majority of the students have knowlegde about
insomnia and more than half of them were affected by
insomnia
The main factor of insomnia is stress
Stress is also the most dominant effects of insomnia

open-ended question in the survey.

Recommendations Strengthen your spiritual by pray.
Consult and take advice from doctor.
Try not to nap during the day.
Make sure you are relaxed when it is time to go to sleep.
Exercise regularly but not within 3 hours before sleeping time.
Avoid taking any food or supplement such as caffeine that can cause
you awake during sleeping time.
Have a light snack close to bedtime rather than a full meal.
Do not delay your work assign to you.
Ensure you have a comfortable environment to sleep.

Recommendations Sleep consistently during sleep time (at least 6 hours a day).
Avoid doing any activities after midnight.
Force yourself at any cost to sleep early.
Use natural treatment for insomnia made from pure essentialoil.
Investigate the factor that causing you difficult to sleep andthen try to overcome it with help from expert
(doctor/pharmacist/counselor/psychotherapies)
Drink plenty of fluids, but avoid too much just before bedtime.(suggestion : milk)
