IntroductionEOS Video Snapshot Task is a software application for playing and editing video snapshot albums that were shot on an EOS camera and downloaded to your computer. Editing functions of this software include rearranging or deleting video snapshots and adding background music. This function cannot be used to edit movies other than video snapshot albums.
Main features of EOS Video Snapshot Task are as follows.

Playing Video Snapshot Albums1 Start up ImageBrowser EX.
● For detailed instructions on starting up ImageBrowser EX, refer to the “ImageBrowser EX User Guide”.
2 Select a movie (video snapshot album) in the main ImageBrowser EX window. ● Video snapshot albums are movies for which [Shooting Mode] in
[Shooting Info] is identified as [Video snapshot].
3 Click the buttons [Edit] [Edit EOS Video snapshot].➜EOS Video Snapshot Task starts up and the main window
appears.
4 Click the [ ] button.
➜A video snapshot album plays.

Editing Video Snapshot Albums
1 Select a video snapshot in the Thumbnail area of the main window.
2 Click the [ ] or [ ] button.● Clicking the [ ] button switches order with the left video
snapshot. Clicking the [ ] button switches with the right video snapshot.
● You can delete a video snapshot by selecting a video snapshot and clicking the [ ] button.
● You can undo an edit by clicking the [ ] button on the top left of the window, and redo it by clicking the [ ] button.
Rearranging Video Snapshots
1 Select [Choose music file] in the [ ] list box in the Thumbnail area of the main window.
● You can also display the [Open music file] dialog box by clicking the [ ] button on the top left of the Video snapshot album window.
➜The [Open music file] dialog box appears.(When you display the [Open music file] dialog box, the [EOS Sample Music] files open.)

2 Select a music file and click the [Open] button.➜Music is added and the music file information is displayed.
● When [Original movie sound] is selected in the [ ] list box in step 1, music file information is not displayed.

Additional editing with this software is not possible when video snapshot albums have been edited with other software, or edited on EOS cameras that support video snapshot album editing.
Video snapshot albums edited with this software can be played on compatible cameras.
You can add movies as video snapshots.Movies shot with an EOS camera in MOV format can be added.
1 Click the [ ] button, then click the [OK] button on the window that appears, select the movie to be added from the [Select movie] window, and click the [Open] button.
➜The [Set Start Point] window appears.
Adding Movies as Video Snapshots
If the following characteristics of a movie and that of the video snapshot album opened on the main window differ, it is not possible to add the movie as a video snapshot.(1) Movies shot with a different camera model(2) Movies with a different image size or frame rate(3) Movies with a different compression format(4) Movies shot with sound or without sound(5) Movies shorter than the video snapshot time of the video

2 Specify the start position of the movie.
● While the movie is playing, drag the [ ] to specify the start position of the movie. The smallest increment by which the [ ] can be moved is approximately 1 second.
● You can drag the playback slider to move the playback position of the movie.
● The length of the movie is indicated by the [Video snapshot time] displayed in the window, and it cannot be specified by the user. (The [Video snapshot time] displayed in this window is the video snapshot time of the video snapshot album opened on the main window.)
● If the time from the specified start point to the end of the movie is less than the [Video snapshot time], the start point is automatically moved to the position so that the total movie length will be equal to the [Video snapshot time].

3 Click the [OK] button.
➜The [Set Start Point] window closes, and the movie is added as a new video snapshot at the end of the video snapshot album opened on the main window.
● Click the [Cancel] button to return to the main window, cancelling the video snapshot settings and addition of the video snapshot.

Saving Edited Video Snapshot Albums
Exiting EOS Video Snapshot Task
1 Click the [ ] button on the top left of the main window.
➜The [Save As] window appears.
2 Specify a save destination, enter a filename, and click the [Save] button.
Select [Exit] from the [File] menu of the main window.➜EOS Video Snapshot Task exits.

Deleting the Software (Uninstalling)● Exit all the applications before uninstalling the software.● Log in under an administrator-level privilege when uninstalling the
software.● To prevent computer malfunctions, always restart your computer after
you have uninstalled the software. Re-installing the software without first restarting your computer is particularly likely to result in computer malfunctions.
1 Select the [ ] button ([Start] button in Windows XP) [All Programs] [Canon Utilities]
[ImageBrowser EX] [ImageBrowser EX Uninstall].
2 Proceed with the uninstallation as directed by the on-screen messages.➜The software is uninstalled.
ImageBrowser EX must be uninstalled in order to uninstall EOS Video Snapshot Task.
