EVANESCE PLUS SERIES
Section 1: Screen Design
1.1 Type of product: Electric In-Ceiling Front Projection Screen.
What is it for? The Evanesce Series is a large in-ceiling electric front projection screen using our
GREENGUARD® Certified MaxWhite™ FG screen material. It is suitable for big size rooms. It is ideal the
companion for medium to large size auditoriums, gymnasiums, banquet/reception rooms, and large
home theaters. The product was design primarily for permanent in-ceiling concealed installations. It
includes Infrared and Radio Frequency remote controls and a manual wall switch keypad.
1.2 How does it work? The Evanesce series has a trap door opening for allowing the screen to drop
and conceals itself when the screen fully retracts. Electric motorized component is controlled byInfrared,
Radio Frequency or Ethernet controls. Fully assembled unit ships ready to install, plug &play.
Section 2: Control System 2.1 Infrared (IR) Remote Control
Infrared functions by direct line of sight contact with a beam range of 30 feet (9.14m). For total control,
we offer an optional Universal Learning Remote (ZR800D) to operate the screen with up to 8 other media
devices simultaneously via its Macro function with a 30 foot (9.14m) range also
2.2 Radio Frequency (RF) Remote Control
The RF remote operates in the same manner as an automatic garage door opener does. Because it uses
radio waves instead of light, it does not require a direct line of sight to the control box and has a 150 foot
(45.7m) range. Unlike the IR, it can also be used to control multiple screens simultaneously. These are
popular for use in larger room environments such as educational, congregational or commercial
presentations.
2.2.1 5-12V Trigger Most mid-high end projectors have a trigger port (5-12Volt port on the rear panel of the projector). This
enables your screen's drop/rise cycle to function in perfect synchronization with your projector's power
cycle. We have both a direct wire and RF wireless version of this device. We include it as a mandatory
feature. The optional wireless 5-12V trigger device synchronizes the projection screen's drop/rise
function with the projector's power cycle by means of an RF wireless control instead of a hardwire
connection. The wireless unit is attached to the projector's 5-12 volt port and transmits the RF drop/rise
command to the screen once the projector is switched on or off.
2.2.2 3-Way Wall Switch An In-Line 3-way wall switch is wired directly to the screen through an RJ45 port and controls the up,
down & stop functions directly. It is intended to be an alternate form of control to the internal IR & RF
receivers. Elite's new Wireless 3-way in-wall box does the same function relying upon its RF transmitter
with an operational range up to 200 feet. It is equal to the wall box in function but without the presence
of unsightly wires to connect it.

2.2.3 In-Wall RJ-45 Module The RJ-45 module connects to a local wall switch for UP/Down control of your Evanesce electric
projection screen.
2.2.4 Low Voltage Regulator Most electric screens function off of a 110-230Voltage and/or 5-12 DC Voltage power source. With a built
in low voltage regulator, you can save power and separate your DC voltage control system from your
Motor operation. This allows you to have more control options such as an extended 5-12V trigger or an
extended IR receiver from anywhere in the room. It also helps make control options such as a Universal
Learning Remote operate reliably. These are optional items with other manufacturers that we include in
the package.

Section 7: About Elite Screens 7.1 Company Description
Elite Screens Inc. is a California based company that specializes in making quality commercial and home-theater
projection screens for the retail and custom install sales channels. Our company began as an innovative venture
into the projection market by manufacturing veterans from the AV/IT industry. Elite Screens quickly established
itself as an entry level commercial and home theater screen manufacturer. This was accomplished by making a
quality product cost effective with a focus on mass-producing screen material, sizes and aspect ratios that were
most commonly preferred by AV customers in general. We focused on uniformity with what would match the
mainstream demographic while including extra features that are not usually included by other manufacturers. In
time, we progressed from just retail sales into the realm of custom installer/integrator manufacture as our
numerous reviews and awards will attest. We stand behind our product and are so certain of customer
satisfaction with the quality of our product that we offer a 2-year manufacturer's warranty which is twice the
industry standard.
In our continued devotion to excellence in products and service, we are committed to implementing green
practices with our production. We have adopted manufacturing methods that promote conservative regulation
of our energy needs. Our simple product designs combined with the expertise of our permanent staff ensures
that our entire line of products are made by experienced hands devoted to the high standards of today’s audio-
video consumer.
