EXAM COURIER MANUAL
AET LEVEL 1-3
Dear Exam Centre Manager/Chief Invigilator, We have implemented changes regarding the courier procedures to ensure that all exam scripts are collected and delivered to Benchmark in a timely and secure manner. The purpose of this manual is to assist you with the courier procedures and to make it as easy as possible for you.
Please make sure that all steps and specifications are adhered to, to ensure problem-free collections and deliveries. If any of these processes are ignored or changed, it may result in late collections, undelivered or missing parcels on route to Benchmark.
IMPORTANT! PLEASE DO NOT COMPLETE WAYBILLS MANUALLY.
PLEASE DO NOT HAND OVER PARCELS TO THE COURIER WITHOUT A WAYBILL.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT PARCELS ARE MARKED WITH THE BENCHMARK STICKER.
A. SPECIFICATIONS AND PROCEDURES
1. The waybills for returning written papers to Benchmark are now pre-printed and provided in
the waybill sleeve of the return Skynet bag.
2. Collections are now pre-arranged and the date of collection is indicated in the top left corner
of the waybill provided.
3. The return Skynet bags now have stickers with Benchmark’s address on the front and back,
as well as the waybill number and amount of bags to be collected written on the back.

B. EXAM CENTRE MANAGER/CHIEF INVIGILATOR DUTIES
Before collection
1. Please check that the waybill number on the printed waybill is the same as the waybill
number written on the return Skynet bags.
2. Please check the collection date on the printed waybill and ensure that the parcel is ready,
and that you are available and reachable on the day of collection. Kindly bear in mind that
the collection can take place anytime between 08:00 and 16:30.
3. Please check that the actual amount of parcels to be collected is the same as indicated on the
return Skynet bag and the printed waybill. If the amount of parcels is to change, clearly
indicate it on all the relevant Skynet bags, as well as on all 3 copies of the waybill, and inform
Karel van der Merwe at Gobi Logistics on 083 676 8225 about the changes.
4. If the provided Skynet bags are damaged or torn and you require a new bag, please call Karel
van der Merwe at Gobi Logistics on 083 676 8225 to make arrangements. Do not accept a
blank Skynet bag from the courier without contacting Karel. PARCELS WITHOUT BENCHMARK’S
ADDRESS SHOULD NOT BE HANDED TO THE COURIER.
5. Ensure that the Skynet bag is properly sealed on the white strip.
When collection is made 6. All 3 copies of the printed waybill MUST be signed by both the Exam Centre Manager/Chief
Invigilator AND the Courier/Driver.
7. Please ensure that the remaining 2 copies are placed back into the waybill sleeve of the
Skynet bag.
C. MISSED COLLECTION
If the parcel is not collected on the arranged date:
1. Please email [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
and [email protected] for a new collection date to be arranged. Please include the waybill
number in your email.
2. Keep the parcel safe in a lockable cabinet until the next collection date.
3. Please do not change, amend or combine any waybills or parcels.
D. LOST WAYBILL
Should you lose the pre-printed waybill:
1. Please email [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
and [email protected], and a copy of the waybill will be provided via email.
2. Please do not hand over the parcel to the courier without a waybill.
3. Please do not complete a waybill manually. Use the pre-printed waybill provided to you.
