Check opening
Cut the head channel to suit the structural
opening width.
Prepare head channel and top track

2
Enigma Channel and track installation
Cut the sliding top track to the
structural opening width - less 80mm.
Mark 75mm from the end of the head channel.
Mark up
Top track preparation
4
3
Line the end of the top track with the mark
and pilot drill the holes through the head
channel.
Important
Ensure the groove in the center of the track and the head
channel line up as shown.
Pilot hole the head channel5
9
It is very important to ensure that the
opening is square and level and the opening
dimensions are correct.
Important
If you are using a touch latch then you need to add 25mm
extra to the rear of the structural opening.
If you are using an Enigma self closing device then you
need to add 35mm onto the structural opening width.
Enigma Channel and track installation
Slide the remote stop into the groove so the
holes line up, enabling you to install the track.
Important
If you are using the soft close mechanism then you need
to insert the cassette with rollers and stop into the track
now before the track is installed.
Insert the remote stop into the top track6
Put the head channel in place and fix using
Type-2 screws.
Line the top track up with the pilot drilled
holes and fix using Type-3 screws.
Fit the head channel and top track
If installing a double door divide the structural
opening width dimension in two and cut
two head channels to this length. Mark
30mm from the end of both head channels,
line up the end of the sliding track and
pilot drill through the fixing holes. Butt the
head channel together in the center of the
structural opening and fix into place. Line the
sliding tracks up and fix into place also.

to the correct height so it slides into the head
and base channel.
Cut pocket sides to length9
Cut the intermediate timber insert 100mm
shorter than the aluminium jamb and slide
the insert into the intermediate jamb so it sits
50mm from each end.
Important
When using door leafs wider than 950mm the kit will be
supplied with extra intermediate jambs to be fitted equally
space within the pocket width.
Cut and fit intermediate timber insert10
11
Cut the base channel to the door leaf
width - 20mm.
Butt the base channel against the rear stud
and fix into place using Type-2 screws.
Important
If using an Enigma self closer then the sole plate length
is door leaf width +50mm.
If using an Enigma touch latch then the sole plate
length is door leaf width +40mm.
Enigma Channel and track installation
Fit pocket sides and fix the jamb11
The wall can now be plaster-boarded. Use
Type-5 self drilling screws when fixing the
plasterboard to the profile.
Important
If you are using the self closing mechanism then fit
plasterbaord to one side of the wall only until the door
and self closer is fitted and working correctly.
Fit the plasterboard13
Using x2 Type-4 screws fix the floor pin into place
in the end notch.
Fit door guide pin12
B) Door leaf installationWith the FD30 concealed system the door leaf needs to be hung before the frame is fitted.
Fit the head brackets 150mm from edge of
the door leaf to center of the bracket. Use the
screws provided.
Important
If you are using the simultaneous opening mechanism
then it needs to be installed now.
If using a simultaneous opening the door leaf height
needs to be reduced by an extra 5mm.
If you are using a self-closing mechanism then fit
plasterboard to one side of the wall only until the self-
closer is fitted and working correctly.
Fit head brackets1
13
Tap the black nylon door guide channel into
the groove in the bottom of the door.
Fit the guide channel2
Slide the intermediate jamb into the head and
base channel so it sits centrally in the pocket and
fix into place with Type-1 self drilling screws. Slide
the leading edge jamb into place at the bottom with
notched end at the top, the flange sits hard against
the end of the base channel. Plumb the jamb and fix
into place using the Type-1 screws.
Important
If you’re using the self closing mechanism then this must be
installed with the door before you plasterbaord one side of the wall.
