Located in the heart of “The City Beautiful” - Downtown Orlando, Florida - Parramore District

Over 20 student organizations including Student Bar Association, Women’s Law Caucus, Black Law Students Association and Stonewall LGBTQ Law Students Association.

Dedicated faculty committed to the community as experts in Criminal Law, Gender Law, International Law, Sports Law and Water Law among other areas.

Robust academic success and career planning programs providing support and professional development to ensure success in the classroom and after graduation.

Located in Downtown Orlando - blocks from county and federal courthouses, and minutes from major law firms, governmental offices and legal service agencies.

Professional skills training and development courses are offered throughout the learning continuum to effectively prepare students for the practice of law. Students hone essential lawyering skills in simulation courses, such as mediation and interviewing, negotiation and counseling; and litigation courses such as trial practice. Students can meet the professional skills requirement by taking those and other practical courses or by taking a clinic course.

Field Placements offer students semester-long opportunities to leave the traditional classroom setting and assist lawyers and judges in the practice of law and the administration of justice. Field Placements enhance the substantive law curriculum through hands-on learning under the close supervision of a Florida A&M University College of Law faculty member. Students in the program will work for judges, government agencies, public interest organizations, non-profit organizations, law firms and corporate legal offices, receiving valuable experience to supplement what they learn in the classroom. Field Placements will provide insight into professional responsibility and the operation of the legal system, and students will develop the practical skills, poise and confidence necessary to be effective practitioners.
