mer pastor of Pine Ridge Bap-list Church, has accepted a callto Union Hill Baptist Church,where he and his'iainily werescheduled to move into thechurch parsonage on Jan. 20.

Rev. Payne, who has alsoserved as a pastor in Salisbury,has been a member of theadministrative staff at RowanTechnical Institute for several'years.A native of Manning, S.C., he

holds degrees from CatawbaCollege, N. C. State Universityand is currently completing re-quirements for his doctorate atthe University of North Carolinaat Chapel Hill.

Rev. Payne is married to theformer Miss Mary Etta Baker,also of Manning, S.C. They areparents of four daughters, Te-resa 11, Karen 10, Joy 7, andLibby 4.
