according to figures released today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
In an extremely competitive segment of the market, the Luton-based manufacturer sold 13,000 vehicles to

percentage points on last year.
Total Vauxhall Commercial Vehicle sales were up 28 per cent with over 41,000 sold. Market share increased
to 11.2 per cent, up a percentage point on 2014.
The Brit-built Vivaro enjoyed another successful year in 2015 with more than 27,000 units sold of the multi

Vauxhall Astra wins family Car honour at WhatCar Awards – 14th January .
Vauxhall’s all-new Brit-built Astra has been recognised in the Family Car category at the What Car? Awards
2016, held at Grosvenor House on Park Lane.
In the Best Buy under £16,000, the Astra 1.0 Turbo ecoFLEX Design topped its extremely competitive class.
What Car? judges commented: “The new Vauxhall Astra represents a huge improvement over its
predecessor. It’s entertaining and sure-footed to drive, while big leaps in interior design and quality make it
feel more premium than ever.”
This latest award follows many recent successes including the Astra winning the Scottish Car of the Year.
This landmark award was part of four-trophy haul at the Scottish Car of the Year awards, where Astra and
VIVA also won Compact, Eco and Family categories between them.
Also last year, Vauxhall OnStar, a comprehensive package, which includes a high-speed 4G LTE mobile
network, emergency response notification and stolen vehicle recovery technology, won the Auto Express
Technology Award and the BusinessCar Techies Award.

Vauxhall Fleet Press Releases – January 2016
Viva Vivaro: Vauxhall is UK’s Top Van Maker for 14th year running - 21st January .
Vauxhall built over 60,000 vans in the UK last year, making it Britain’s number one van maker for the
14th year running, according to figures released today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
Driven by UK Vivaro sales of over 28,000, Vauxhall manufactured 60,280 vans at its plant in Luton,
Bedfordshire.
Meanwhile, Vauxhall also built over 90,000 Astras at its manufacturing plant in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire.
The much-lauded, all-new seventh-generation model is available in showrooms now.
Vauxhall’s all-new Vivaro, launched in 2014, and secured 1,500 jobs at the UK’s only dedicated light
commercial vehicle plant after workers won a ten-year contract and a £185 million investment.
Thanks to the outstanding attitude and work ethic of the workforce, the Luton plant beat world class
competition from across Europe to build the new van.
Rival Ford shut its Transit factory in Southampton 2013 making Vauxhall’s Luton facility the sole flag bearer
for UK van manufacturing, on a site where over eight million vehicles have been built since 1905. The factory
is a major exporter with 52 per cent of production destined for European markets.

Vauxhall Fleet Press Releases – January 2016Vauxhall Astra and Zafira Tourer recognised in 2016 BusinessCar Awards
- 26st January .
Vauxhall has been recognised by BusinessCar, with the Zafira Tourer winning Mini-MPV of the Year, while
the all-new Brit-built Astra was runner-up in the Business Car of the Year award.
“The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer has shown its strength in terms of practicality, innovation and value for money,
and with the way BusinessCar readers have voted, they obviously appreciate these qualities in a mini-MPV,”
said BusinessCar Editor Paul Barker. “The Zafira Tourer’s clever rear seating arrangement and competitive
emissions figure makes it an obvious choice in the segment.”
The BusinessCar Awards are unique in that they are the only awards decided by the fleet industry itself, with
the readers of the magazine and BusinessCar.co.uk voting for the products, services and companies that
best support their businesses. Rather than being decided by a panel of experts, the BusinessCar Award
winners are chosen by the people relying on them to help efficiently run their businesses on a daily basis.
These latest awards follow recent recognition of the all-new Astra in the Family Car category at the
WhatCar? Awards. In the Best Buy under £16,000, the Brit-built Astra 1.0T 12v ECOflex Design was awarded
as top of its class.

Vauxhall Fleet Press Releases – January 2016Quadruple Win for Vauxhall at Business Van Awards - 26st January .
Vauxhall’s Brit-built Vivaro has been named overall winner at the Business Van Awards 2016, which were
presented today in London.
Martyn Collins, editor for Business vans stated “Which van is great to drive, affordable to run, plus has a
well-equipped interior that can double as an office? That’ll be the Vauxhall Vivaro.” He added “When
combined with the practical load area with the clever FlexCargo load-through bulkhead, it’s not difficult to
see why the Vauxhall is our top van.”
For the second year running the Vivaro has also been presented with Best Large Trades Van.
“The reason the Vivaro has kept its Best Large Trades Van award is thanks to its impressively practical load
area, exactly what trades need. And it’s British built, as well.”
The Vivaro was also awarded Best Green Van.
“Vauxhall’s development of the latest 1.6-litre, (120PS) Bi-Turbo diesel version of the Vivaro is class-
leading,” added Collins. “47.9 mpg consumption figure and theoretical 800 mile range, wrapped in one of the
most attractive and easy to drive vans on the market.”
The largest van in Vauxhall’s range, the Movano, also scooped Best Heavy Van 2016.
“This class of van needs to be tough yet reliable, the ability to be fuel-efficient and offer a wide range of
different versions to suit all tastes is also key. That’s exactly what the Vauxhall Movano offers.” Added Collins
