HOW TO CREATE A NEW REPORTTo create a new report, click the NEW REPORT button to open up the Report Builder.
Select a MarketIf you have multiple markets assigned to your eViP user ID, the first step is to select the MARKET for your report data. Note: Each report can only include one market. If you only have access to one market, you will bypass the Market tab and go directly to the Options screen. After selecting a Market, click the NEXT or OPTIONS tab.

Sort By - Sort by market rank, or alphabetically
Search – Search market list by entering at least one character or a character string (i.e. T or Tam for Tampa).

HOW TO CREATE A NEW REPORTSelect Options
The OPTIONS screen is where you can setup the basic format for the report output, including type of report, measurement period, sample, data stream and what metrics (along with precision) are included. After selecting your Options, click the NEXT or VIEWING SOURCES tab.
NAVIGATING THE OPTIONS SCREEN
Measurement Period - Select a Measurement Period for your report, select a specific report period or ‘Current Measurement’.
TIP: Current Measurement - Runs your report with the most recently released measurement. This allows you to save a report with Current Measurement, and run after new measurement has been released without having to make any changes to your report.
Sample – Total DMA is default setting. For LA & Miami markets, if you subscribe to Hispanic, then you will be able to choose between Total DMA or Hispanic samples.
Report Type - Choose between the following report types: Time Period, Time Period Trend, Reach, or Program (Within Dayparts, or Individual Program)
Data Stream - Choose Live+Same Day, Live+1, Live+3, or Live+7
Rating, Share, Impressions, Station Totals - Select preferred metric precision
Station Totals - Station Totals enabled for Time Period, Time Period Trend, Program (Within Dayparts and Individual Program) when the Live+7 data stream is selected. The default is None
Special Note for Early Access [May 2018 - until release of June 2018 measurement data]:● February 2018 is the only available measurement period● Live+24 is the only data stream available for Diary markets prior to transitioning to the new RPD+
methodology. After the RPD+ transition, data streams will be consistent across all market types

The VIEWING SOURCES screen is where you can select the broadcast and/or cable stations for your report. You can also select to include HUT/PUT on this tab. After selecting Viewing Source(s), click the NEXT or DAYPARTS/PROGRAMS tab.
Tip: Program Reports - When running Individual Program reports, bypass the Viewing Source screen to search programs within all Viewing Sources, or select station and/or cable nets to search programs within specific Viewing Sources

AVAILABLE - Shows what Viewing Sources are available to select● Search - Search by a Viewing Source name● Sort - Sort by the Viewing Source name, DMA of of Origin, Cume, and Affiliation. Default Sort is highest to lowest
cume ● Hide Spill/Cable - Uncheck the hide spill/cable box to see/select spill and cable stations● Saved Lists - Manage current Saved Lists. Any saved list with broadcast stations are market specific. Any saved lists
that are all cable stations are available across markets.
To MOVE Viewing Sources from Available list to Selected list, click on:● + [Plus]- After selecting desired Viewing Sources from the Available list, select the + button to move the Viewing
Sources over to the Selected list● All Cable - Select all cable networks ● All Broadcast - Select all broadcast and local cable origination stations
SELECTED - Shows what Viewing Sources have been selected to report. Drag and drop the viewing sources to specify the sort order they should appear on your report
● Trashcan Icon - Individually delete Viewing Sources, or select the Clear button to clear all at once● Disk Icon - Save a list of commonly used Viewing Sources for easy access● Save/Save As - Click on Save to save your selected viewing sources as a list for future use. When editing a previously
saved list, clicking Save will overwrite the prior contents. Use Save As to save your selections as a new list without impacting your original.

The DAYPARTS screen allows you to select the dayparts for your report. You can use Standard Nielsen dayparts and/or define your own custom dayparts. After selecting daypart(s), click the NEXT or DEMOGRAPHICS tab.

AVAILABLE - Shows what Dayparts are available to select
● Select Interval - Select the breakout for the requested daypart. You can report the daypart as a single number, or break it out in 30 or 60 minute increments.
● Custom Tab - Create a custom Daypart, type in the Start and End time, switch ‘AM’ to ‘PM’ by clicking the button
● Saved Lists - Manage current Saved List
To MOVE Dayparts from Available list to Selected list, click on:● + [Plus] - After selecting desired Dayparts from the Available list, select the + button to move the Dayparts

If you have selected Program - Individual Program, instead of being directed to the Dayparts screen, you’ll be directed to the PROGRAM screen. From this screen you can search for a specific program(s) to be include in your report output. After selecting Program(s), click the NEXT or DEMOGRAPHICS tab.

● Search - In order to see programs, Search by at least one character and press ENTER
To MOVE Programs from Available list to Selected list, click on::● + [Plus] - After selecting desired Program(s) from the Available list, select the + button to move the

Highlight Rows - Select a row to highlight it and increase the font size
Expand View - Select the arrows in the top right corner to expand the report view
Once all of your selections have been made, either click Report View or Run Report to view your report.

MARKET DATA - Each report includes the Viewers in Profile Market Data. It can be exported as a PDF on its own, by default it is included in the report view PDF. See Appendix for details on individual Market Data Tables.
TIP: After selecting a Market, Measurement Period, and Sample, you can access the Market Data.

To download a Report View select the PDF button to export the report as a PDF file. You may also email a copy to your Nielsen Answers email address.

HOW TO RENAME AND SAVE A REPORTRename a Report
Save a Report
NAVIGATING THE SAVE REPORT SCREEN
Private/Shared - Save a report as Private, meaning only you will be able to view this report, or save it as Shared, meaning anyone in your organization will be able to view the report.
Save/Save As - Click on Save to save your report selections for future use. When editing a previously saved report, clicking Save will overwrite the prior report name / selections. Use Save As to save as a new report without impacting your original.

While building a report, at any point, change the Report Name by clicking the REPORT NAME box and entering a unique report name.
While building a report, at any point, save the report by clicking the SAVE button. If you’ve already entered a unique report name, you will see it in the report name box, if you haven’t, please do so at this point.

Privacy Settings – Easily switch between your Private and Shared reports
Report Manager – Edit, Download, or Delete any existing eViP report

After you create / save your first Nielsen eViP report, you will be directed to the REPORT MANAGER screen on subsequent logins. From here you can create a new report or download, edit, delete existing reports.
