What is an NGO?A non-governmental organization (NGO) is
a legally constituted organization created
by natural or legal persons that operates
independently from any government. The
term is usually used by governments to refer
to entities that have no government status. In
the cases in which NGOs are funded totally or
partially by governments, the NGO maintains
its non-governmental status by excluding
government representatives from membership
in the organization. The term is usually applied
only to organizations that pursue some wider
social aim that has political aspects, but that
are not overtly political organizations such as
political parties

Heavy utilization of the globe and circular images probably empahsizing caring for the world as a whole or even indicating that every reaction has an effect on the earth
The colours used are dominantly shades of green / blue ,again to draw our atention to the ecosystem and the widespread notion that green is associated with “eco-friendliness”

Use of Hands in most of the posters maybe to give the idea of relief or wanting to relate to the term “Lending a helping hand”
Few of the posters which are illustrated are again straight forward and simple, yet have a very strong effect on the reader
The text used is very simple and very easily understandable
Fonts are bold and identifiable and clearly visible
Nearly 85% of the posters contained photographed images of the victims,trying to show

They were many pressing changes that women needed to tackleA list of them were:
1. Health2. Knowledge of the Law and their Rights3. Self empowerment4. Religious beliefs and5. Children welfare
The campaign material is highly instructive and descriptive
The images are factual and actual photographs

30-40 yr Middle class housewives
After our initial research and analysis which included surveying a couple of housewives we realised that the housewives in this age group would be mostly at home with lots of free time.
We wanted to see what kept them occupied, the places they visited and the media that they came in contact with everyday, which included magazines and supermarkets.
Reserch and Analysis
Fonts are simple, symmetrical, mostly straight lines and not stylised very similar to Trajan Pro font
All the magazines look very similar as though they were from a single publication
Models are repeated else they look uncannily similar

Formats
The were many formats which was considered : Newspapers, Handouts, Magazines,Billboard and Brochures were ones which the housewives looked at more on a daily basis and were hence more influenced.

Concepts and Ideas
After narrowing down the variables,I decided to work on some media that would keep the targeted audience occupied and in the process educate them.
Origami seemed the best and easiest skill to pick up for a 30-40 year housewife.
Also the simple materials involved would encourage them as well as the final product is always open to improvisation.

Ideas / Concepts
The idea was to think as crazily as possible. To come up with over the top ideas and possibilities without the format being necessarily practical to implement.

Final Outcome
The final idea was to design a brochure which has a pattern on one side and instructions on the back to direct the housewife to make the Origami as instructed and which can be used as jewellery, accessory or household decoration
It also has a corner with cheerful /inspirational / educational message
