The style# l-3, 7-9 sample(s) result of the following requirement(s) is considered as MARGINAL under the following requirement(s):
In I ieu of testing and at the request of the cl ient, documentation has been provided which rated as MARGINAL for the chemical content requirement of the client's specification with reference to the Chemicals of high concern to chi ldren (CHCC) content as contaminant-Washington revised code (RCW), Chapter 70.240 Children's Safe Product Act (CPSA).
Note: The sample(s) was not evaluated to the Normal Use testing requirements specified in ASTM F963-ll , Section 8.5. It is the resJlonsibility of the manufacturer, vendor or distributor to conduct tests that will simulate norma l use conditions. These tests sha ll ensure that hazards are not generated through normal wear and deterioration of the sample(s). These tests shall also simulate the normal play mode of the toy and to s imulate the expected mode of use of the particular toy. The tests shall be conducted in an expected usc environment. These normal use tests shall simulate the intended use of the toy based on its estimated lifetime.
Note: Based on visual evaluation and/or material breakdown received, there is no polyvinyl chloride (PVC) found in the samples submitted and thus the corresponding testing of the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act with reference to the Hazardous Products Act, SOR/20 10-298 regarding to the restriction of use of certain phthalatcs content have not been conducted.
Note: According to the associated documents of Cons umer Product Safety Improveme nt Act (CPSlA) of2008, exemptions were granted to c.ertain materials or products, such as natura l materials I paper and similar materials I CMYK process ptinting inks I metal & alloys I electronics devices components I ordinary books I dyed & undyed textiles. Therefore, the lead content analysis of some components was not conducted.
Note: The received sample(s) contained accessible material(s) of less than I 0 milligrams by weight on one single sample, therefore such matcrial(s) was not subject to the heavy metals analysis of ASTM F963- ll , "Standard consumer safety spcci!ication on toy safety", Section 4.3.5.1(2) and 4.3.5 .2, as specified in Section 8.3.3 .6(2) and Section 8.3.5.3(2).
Note: No surface coating was present on the received of style# 4-6 sample(s). Consequently, the heavy metals content analysis on surface coatings according to the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act- Toys Regulations, SOR/20 I I - 17 Sec. 23 or the lead content analysis on surface coatings according to the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act, Surface Coating Materials Regulation, SOR/2005- 1 09 (Amended Up To SOR/20 11-1 4) Sec 7.2 and 7.3 was not conducted.
Note: No accessible surface coating was found on the submitted of style# 4-6 samples. Consequently, heavy metals ana lysis on surface coatings was not conducted.
Note: For the packaging and labeling evaluation test, only the submission for style# 4 ,5,6 samples was evaluated and meet the requirements of the standards.
