Heart to Share
We now enter into the season of Heart to Share for will be for the next 3 months.
Call 'Heart to Share", we will have the opportunity to reflect in the coming months on stewardship and our
opportuni$es to share all gi%s that God has given us. Acknowledging that all we have is pure gi% from God, we
freely give of our $me, talents and treasure in a spirit of love and joy. The evidence of our parishioners financial
generosity is shown in the following projects which were completed this summer:
Summer Facili�es Improvement, Maintenance, and Sustainability Projects
New state of the art playground equipment was installed to develop student’s social and physical skills. The playground also serves as an educa$onal tool for teachers, providing an environment for ac$ve learning experiences. Pavers and new fencing were added to the area to enhance the func$onality and entrance to the Junior High Building.
The school media center was completely re-designed and furnished to create a learning center flowing with innova$on, collabora$on, curiosity, adaptability, and cri$cal inquiry. Enhanced technology resources are designed to ensure students are effec$ve users of ideas and informa$on.
Other completed projects included:
• Re-staining of the pews and baseboards in church and chapel (baseboards)
• Installed new water and sewage lines leading to Jr. High Building
• Four new wall AC units were installed in the Jr. High Building, replacing older, less efficient units
• Rectory – 1st
floor AC unit was replaced. • Replaced door closure mechanisms on church doors • Family Life Center Flat Roof-Installed aluminum coa$ng to
prevent leaks during the roof’s remaining 2 year life • School flat work; sealed 120 penetra$ons to prevent leaks
during its remaining life • Family Life Center Cafetorium ligh$ng converted to energy
saving LED fixtures. • School hallway and stairwell ligh$ng converted to energy
saving LED fixtures • School and campus pain$ng and touch-up as scheduled or
required
The SMM ChoirSMM ChoirSMM ChoirSMM Choir, which sings each Sunday at the 9:30AM Mass, will hold its first rehearsal of the season on Wednesday, September 13, at 7:00 pm in the Chapel. Adults, as well as teenagers are welcome. The start of the Choir year is a great time to get on board! Baby Basics Needs a Hand
If you can count to 140, Baby Basics can
use your help! 140 is the number of
diapers used in two weeks by the liHlest
babies, those wearing Newborn and size
one. We can use your help on the first
and third Saturdays of the month, 1:30-
3:30pm to: unpack shipping cases, count
diapers, assist families to their cars, move
diapers to storage, and break down
cartons for recycling. It’s a perfect

Food Pantry This week the food pantry collec$on is for Chris$an Service
Center. They are in need of some new items that have not
been on the suggested list of dona$ons lately. Please
consider dona$ng boHled water, individual fruit cups, cups
of soup, individual juice boHles, in addi$on to hamburger &
tuna helper, instant mashed potatoes, canned pasta and
sweet peas. The center is fully stocked on cereal. Please
bring your dona$ons to the parish hall when you come to Mass.
Plant Ministry Do you have a green thumb, like working with plants? We
are in need of volunteers to help care for the plants that
enhance our worship space. With a $me commitment of
only once or twice a month, this is a wonderful volunteer
opportunity even for those with busy schedules. For further

Middle School Faith Formation Our first Journey Together Class will meet on Sunday, September 10 at 10:45 am — 11:45 am in the Youth Room! This is our middle school faith formation class and is open to all middle school students. This semester, we will be continuing our Decision Point program.
