The Parc des Buttes-Chaumont inaugurated in 1867 during the reign of Napoléon III is a public space situated in the north-east of Paris, in the 19th district. Covering 25 hectares, the Park is one of the largest green spaces in the city. It was designed à l’anglaise by the French engineer Jean-Charles Alphaud.
