Carry two extra passport pictures separately from your passport, acopy of your passport, and a certified copy (not the original) of yourbirth certificate.
If your passport is lost, report immediately to the staff in London whowill assist in the report to the local police, get written confirmation of
the police report, take the above documents to the nearest consulateand apply for a new passport. Note that passports cannot be issuedimmediately abroad, so expect a delay of days to weeks.
Always have multiple forms of money; cash, travelers cheques, ATMand credit cards. Never carry large amounts of cash. Make three lists oftraveler's cheques.
Keep a list or a copy of cards, account numbers, PIN numbers, andemergency replacement procedures. Also ensure all your ATM, Debitcard and Credit card all activated for International usage.
Mark all luggage inside and out with your name and address. Travel as
light as possible. An internal frame backpack is the easiest to carry.Any suitcases should have wheels.
5. Hand LuggageAgain there are restrictions on hand luggage, so pack lightly and only bringthe necessities.
You are only allowed to carry 1 piece of luggage (maximum weight of7kg). This does not include a laptop.
Passport, letters and documentation regarding your acceptance inLondon (unconditional offer letter, sponsorship letter, departure
briefing notes, important contacts, accommodation address, returnflight ticket).
Carry limited fluids; you are only allowed to carry contents of less than100ml and if possible, put it in a clear plastic bag. Whether it s facialcream, make up, perfume, drinks, toothpaste, any container largerthan 100ml will be confiscated. Carry on board only what you reallyneed. Food and drinks will be provided on flight, so you do not have tocarry food.
6. Upon Arrival
In the plane you will be handed an arrival card. It is advisable for youto fill up your personal details on board to avoid any problems atUKBA. Accommodation address is stated as below:

letter, sponsorship letter, return flight ticket and arrival card that you

8.Accommodation During your stay in London, you will be staying at The Stay Club @
Camden Town.
You will need this address when filling up your arrival card to London
and at immigration counter. Remember to take note of the address.
9. Transport while in London Most convenient way to get around London is by tube (Underground
Subway). An Oyster card will be provided to you upon arrival.
10. Sim Card / Telephones Sim cards are easily available in London. You will only need to pay
GBP10 as a start. The University will assist in arranging a sim card foryou.
International roaming is available for Malaysian sim cards, but it isadvisable for you to get a local number as roaming charges are high. Ifyou plan to use your Malaysia sim card please ensure you activate forInternational Roaming in Malaysia.
11. Travel Tips Don't carry everything in one place! Never pack important documents,
medicine or anything in your check-in luggage. Put them in your carry-on bag.
Try to relax and save energy during your long flight. Jet lag is aphysical and psychological phenomenon that affects almost all travelersin some way. Through long years of habit, your body has becomeaccustomed to functioning in accordance with a physiological clockbased on a particular daily cycle. For at least a few days after arrival,that clock is going to be out of sync with local cycles.
Medication: Take everything you will need for the trip, along withcopies of all prescriptions and the generic names of drugs. Keepmedicines in the original labeled drugstore containers. Take extraeyeglasses or contacts and the prescription. Have some of yourmedication in small containers to be kept in your hand carry.
To avoid motion sickness, you may need to take motion sickness pill
before travelling. This is available at any pharmacy.

1. What are you travelling to London for?I am participating in a study tour organized by Limkokwing University of CreativeTechnology, Malaysia to Limkokwing University of Creative Technology Londonfor 3 months.
2. How long will you be staying in London?Three months (You can show your return flight ticket).
3. Who are you travelling with?I am travelling with my fellow students joining the same programme from
Malaysia.
4. How are you financing your stay in London?The programme is sponsored by Limkokwing University of Creative Technology(you can show the sponsorship letter). It covers my tuition fee, transportation,accommodation and meal. I will also be provided GBP 300 monthly for personalpocket money.
5. How much money do you have with you?I have GBP300 with me now. The rest of the money will be bank/Credited intomy account on a monthly basis (you can show your ATM card).
6. When will you be returning home?I will be returning to Malaysia on 16 Dec 2013 (show the officer your returnflight ticket).
7. Do you intend to work while you are in London?No. I am not intending to work.
8. Will you be staying just in London or travelling throughout Europe?I will only be visiting London during my stay. I will not be travelling throughEurope.

ACADEMIC BRIEFING ONE SEMESTER IN LONDON(23 Sept 2013- 16 dec 2013)
STUDENT COPY
1.0 GENERAL INFORMATION
All students will be doing integrated projects for all modules.
Submission of ALL assignment work is compulsory in this module. Astudent cannot pass this module without having to submit ALLassignment work by the due date or an approved extension of thatdate.
All assignments are to be handed on time on the due date. Students
will be penalised 10 percent for the first day and 5 percent per daythereafter for late submission (a weekend or a public holiday countsas one day). Late submission, after the date Board of Studiesmeeting will not be accepted.
Due dates, compulsory assignment requirements and submissionrequirements may only be altered with the consent of the majority ofstudents enrolled in this module at the beginning/early in theprogram.
Extensions of time for submission of assignment work may be
granted if the application for extension is accompanied by a medicalcertificate.
Harvard referencing and plagiarism policy will apply on all writtenassignments.
2.0 SPECIFIC MODULE INFORMATION
Attendance rate of 80% is mandatory for passing module.
All grades are subject to attendance and participation.
Absenteeism at any scheduled presentations will result in zero markfor that presentation.
Visual presentation work in drawn and model form must be theoriginal work of the student.

All assignments/projects must be completed and presented formarking by the due date.
Marks will be deducted for late work and invalid reasons.
All assignments must be delivered by the student in person to the
lecturer concerned. No other lecturer is allowed to accept studentsassignments.
All tests/examinations are compulsory.
Students must sit the test/examination on the notified date.
Students are expected to familiarise themselves with thetest/examination timetable.
Students who miss a test/examination will not be allowed to pass.
Any scheduling of tutorials, both during or after lecture hours, is
TOTALLY the responsibility of each student. Appointments are to beproposed, arranged, confirmed, and kept, by each student. Failure todo so in a professional manner may result in penalty of grades.Tutorials WITHOUT appointments will also NOT be entertained.
Note that every assignment is given an ample time frame forcompletion. This, together with advanced information pertainingdeadlines gives you NO EXCUSE not to submit assignments on time.
4.0 SPECIFIC CRITERIA
Each assignment will be handed out with the project brief and willvary, depending on the teaching and learning objectives of thespecific assignment.
Each student will receive a completed assessment sheet back withtheir marks, thereby giving student feedback on each set criterionand the project as a whole.
Marks for each project will be posted on the Bulletin Board withstudent number within 2 weeks of hand-in date
