WASHING YOUR HANDS IS THE #1 WAY TO PROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY AGAINST GERMS!
Dear Parents & Guardians—
Global Handwashing Day has been celebrated worldwide
on October 15 since 2008. Keeping hands clean through
improved hand hygiene is one of the most important steps
we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to
others. Clean hands can lead to better health for children and
parents—which means fewer missed days of school
and work.
This year, we celebrated Global Handwashing Day by
teaching students how and when to wash their hands. We
want to continue this important message in the home. Help
your child follow the five scientifically proven steps to
handwashing to help stop germs from spreading within
your family. You can also print and hang these posters in
your bathroom to remind your child of the importance of
clean hands.
WHEN SHOULD YOU WASH YOUR HANDS?
