Welcome to SilkRoad Technology and
OpenHire for Managers. Managers will
learn how to use the following functions:
This is an example of the
left menu for Hiring Managers.
•• Track My Jobs Track My Jobs – Displays all active
jobs that the user is assigned as the
Hiring Manager
•• Interview Requests Interview Requests – Displays all
resumes for the Hiring Manager to
interview
•• Review Requests Review Requests – Displays all
resumes for the Hiring Manager to
Review
•• View Requisitions View Requisitions – Allows
Hiring Manager to Create or Edit
a Job Requisition.
NOTE: Clicking Site Help will take
the user to the Help section where
one can view user guides, support
phone numbers, hours, and emails.
If a user is currently assigned as the Hiring Manager for an active job, the
initial screen upon login will be Track My JobsTrack My Jobs. This example shows the
Total Resumes for a job and Resumes to be Reviewed or Interviewed.
NOTE: Some companies may choose not to have the Total Resumes column display.
Clicking on the number in the Total Resume column
will display all the resumes for this particular job.
NOTE: Some companies may choose not to have the Total Resumes column display.
Clicking on an individual candidate name will take the user to the
Candidate Record. From here a Hiring Manager can view specific
information about the candidate.
To complete a review of an individual candidate simply click on the
drop down arrow next to What would you like to do with this Candidate?
To complete a Review, the resume must be accessed through the
Review Requests column.
After looking at a resume you can complete your review by choosing
Complete ReviewComplete Review from the drop down. Make a recommendation and
enter a note. To finalize your work, click on SubmitSubmit. OpenHire will
automatically send an email to the Recruiter with your recommendation.
Clicking on a resume in the Interview Requests column
will bring you here. You will be notified via email if there
is an applicant to be interviewed.
Clicking on a candidate name will bring you to the candidate
record. From here you can click on the drop down arrow to
select various actions. Once you complete the interview an
email is sent to the Recruiter with your recommendation.
• There is also a separate menu for Reviews
or Interviews. This is where all applicant
resumes forwarded to you by a Recruiter
for the respective purpose will appear.
Note on Review and Interview
Requests Menus
This is the View RequisitionsView Requisitions screen. From this screen you can
edit an existing Requisition or create a new Job Requisition.
To create a Job Requisition click on View RequisitionsView Requisitions and complete
the form. To save time you can choose a Job TemplateJob Template. This will
automatically fill in many of the required fields. Clicking on a ? will
detail each line item in the selected box.
At the end of the Job Requisition screen click on Save & Forward
For Posting. If your company is utilizing the Approval process,
you would not click any option and continue down the screen
to the Review & Approval Details.
If your company is utilizing the Job Requisition Approval Process
you can select the reviewers and then click on Email Reviewer
1. This will save your Job Requisition and start the process electronically.

• OpenHire generates emails to notify the HiringManager of a task so you do not need to be loggedinto OpenHire constantly.
