Christian’s Family Recipe
Cranberry Sauce Salad
1 small box raspberry jello 1 cup boiling water 1 can jellied cranberry sauce
Dissolve jello in boiling water, then blend in cranberry sauce and mix on low speed on mixer until creamy. (About 5 min.) Let congeal. (I usually make the night before and refrigerate overnight)
Topping:
1 envelope Dream Whip, prepared as directed on box 1 Tbsp. lemon juice 1 small (3 oz) pkg. cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Mix lemon juice into whipped cream. Mix sugar into creamed cheese and fold into whipped cream mixture. Fold in chopped nuts. Spread on top of congealed jello and refrigerate.
I usually "double" the jello mixture and the topping. Recipe not doubled will probably serve 2-4 people.
