process and Structure of the SAPCC
• UNDP has also proposed a logical framework
for SAPCC formulation which is based on
Territorial Approach
• Consultation were held with institutions like
– School of Planning and Agriculture (SPA),
– Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) and
others.
• Brainstorming sessions were held with experts.
Selected Approach
• After much discussion and deliberation it was decided to have a balance between both the approaches.
• The plan will be developed Sector wise so that each department knows the issues that needs to be addressed.addressed.
• In each Sector Regional Priorities will be identified Agro Climatic Zone wise so that the actions to be implemented at ground level can be identified with ease .
• Thus positive things of both the approaches will be incorporated in the action plan.
• A draft structure has been attempted
Format of SAPCC
• Generalization – will act like an introduction to the subject and the area of concern.
• Sectoral Studies – it will be sub divided into two parts –– Sectoral issues – pointing out climate change
issues in each sector.issues in each sector.
– Sectoral actions – pointing out actions to be taken to address these issues.
• Regional issues – this will provide issues and actions ACZ wise, also it will include case studies, success stories, best practices etc. relevant to the area.
Form of SAPCC
• The SAPCC document is planned to be released in three formats –
– Main Document – this will be the complete
document.
– Technical summary – this will be a summary – Technical summary – this will be a summary
having technical details.
– General summary – this will be a summary
having the action points in an easy to
understand language so that everybody can use
the document with ease.
