How to Show and Hide Ribbon in MS Office Word
In an open Office Word document, the Ribbon interface (as shown in the screen
shot below) clearly exhibits the commands hided in the Menu Bar tabs (i.e. File,
Home, Insert, Review, Mailings, Page Layout…). It is favored by some users
because it facilitates finding certain commands efficiently, such as editing
header, adjusting margins, checking spelling and grammar, etc. However,
many users dislike it because it takes up the space of the window. In
consequence, this article will take MS Office Word 2013 as a specific example
and describe how to show and hide Ribbon in it.
1. Hide Ribbon in Office Word 2013 document
Hide the Ribbon interface by means of the Ribbon Display Options button.
Click the button (i.e. the top-right icon with an up arrow inside) and choose Auto-
hide Ribbon in the pop-up list.

2. Show Ribbon in Office Word 2013 file
Similarly, show the Ribbon interface with the help of the Ribbon Display Options
button.
Tap the button and select Show Tabs and Commands in the list.
Or click any blank area at the top to display Ribbon interface instantly.
