SummaryA forklift is used to lift heavy objects and carry them into an indicated area. These modern tools can easily connect to the back of a delivery truck and be used at the location of delivery. They are a big contribution to the success and efficiency of the industry of the transportation of furniture and other large manufactured goods. Overall these large hydraulic lifts are beneficial to us due to their incredible ability to lift heavy objects with relative ease.
Componentso Reservoir or receiver tank: type, pressure/volume of operation, mode of operation, etc.o Pump or compressor: located inside the forklift the pumps move the fluid in and out of the cylinders.o Valves: the lever panel controls the cylinders and moves the forks and raises and lowers the stabilizers.o Cylinder: type:single-acting, location: front, function:to do the mechanical worko Filter: oil filter, located in the rear of the forklift, it is used to filter the hydraulic fluid.

ReflectionOverall from this project we learned that, hydraulic systems can be extremely beneficial when hard forces have to be exerted with effective control and precision. We also now understand how these systems work and what makes them so effective. The forklift will always be one of the most important tools in the delivery business.
