The Aerovías del Continente Americano S.A is the largest airliner in Colombia
and the oldest airline operating in the Western Hemisphere. It is wholly owned
by Synergy Group S.A., a South American holding company established by Germán

Exchange. It celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2009.
The airline traces its history back to 5 December 1919, in the city of

This is how this company began - During a visit to Germany, Ramesh Pai discovered that
high-end motor car seats used rubberized coconut-coir fibre manufactured from Sri Lankan
base material. He knew that India was one of the largest producers of coconut in the world
and so, he rightly assumed, there was a new business to be pioneered. Charged with this
thought, he returned home to start his journey of discovering how best he could take
