A Sad and Vulgar Loner
Ernesto, as a young man, finds himself being violent and jealous when he has emotional relationships. He got married and had a son, but three years later he almost killed them both. He would have succee-ded had it not been for his mother calling the police, having seen that he was mentally ill. After many years of repeating this pattern of jealousy, he finally understood his issue and wrote an autobiography. Now he wants to make a fiction film about it. Two directors who are interested suggest making a documentary instead. The film will track these events in Ernesto’s past. He will review his past and share his point of view and theory of jealousy. Some of his violent memories will be reconstructed by actors and with the help of a therapist, who will guide him through the regression experience. This will trigger a possible change in him.

Tolyatti Adrift
The old Russian city Tolyatti which once was a symbol of pro-gress and socialist pride is nowadays the poorest in Russia. It was known for its car industry, mainly for the legendary car called LADA. Currently it’s a deteriorated place, stuck in the moment and with the highest youth unemployment rates in the country. In this desolated context arises ‘Boyevaya Klassika’, a teenagers’ movement based on the idea of rescuing the old cars from the local factory. They aren’t only able to give these icons, a second chance but they also turn them into a distraction, rebelliousness and expression towards hope.
