Claude Monet was born in 1814 in Paris France. He is considered the
father of impressionism and was the leader in French Impressionist
landscape paintings

similar technique, however artists focused more on abstract form
and pattern.
Van Gogh was born in 1853 in the Netherlands. He is the most famous
Post-Impressionist painter and considered one of the most
influentional painters of all time.
