Basic Aims and Principles of the IDS JMK
• Economical optimization
• Integration of all public transport modes
• Due to the systematic offer increase the amount of users.
• Introduce the single fare,transport conditions, information providing and fare collecting system.
IDS JMK is Fully Integrated
Southern Moravia Region and the City of Brno establishedthe co-ordinator (KORDIS JMK, ltd.) responsible for enlargement andmanagement of IDS JMK.

Network and timetable integration
• Railway and trams - backbone of the system.
• Buses – mostly tangential and feeder lines (in some cases also backbone).
• System of the interchanges and connecting departures.
• Equal interval timetable
• Quality standards for operators.
• Offer increase in the weekends and the evenings.
• New look of timetables including connecting departures.
• Creating timetables at the coordinator.
• Traffic controlling at the coordinator.
• Area divided into zones – zone tariff
• The core represented by zones 100 + 101 (Brno)
• Every zone has got the 3 digits number.
• The size of each zone – approx. 7 km
• Ticket at least for 2 zones.
• Tickets have zonal and time validity.
• Prepaid monthly/quarterly/annual seasonal ticket
• Prepaid tickets 20 % cheaper than single tickets
• Special offers for annual ticket holders etc.
• Both single fare ticket and seasonal ticket are validin all integrated transport modes and operators.

• Common marketing policy
• Single call centre for all transport modes and operators
• Single information office
• Co-ordinator solves most of complaints and questions
• In all vehicles plans and the same information (price list, basic rules, plans)
• In all railway stations plans and information.
• Operational control system (dispatching) – all buses, trams and trolleybuses GPS equipped, trainswatched in stations.
• Real time departure information.
