CHEF KARTIK KUMARBlue Mountain Resort is pleased to
welcome Executive Chef Kartik Kumar to the Food & Beverage Team.
Chef Kumar comes to us with over 25 years of culinary experience in locations around the world
including Dubai, Nepal, Singapore, Egypt, Australia,Papua New Guinea, West Africa and Canada. He is an
innovative, quality-driven Executive Chef with extensive experience opening and directing demanding kitchens within five-star hotel, resort and casino environments.
He is an articulate leader of multidisciplinary teams focused on ensuring elite guest experiences.
He has conceived and executed awe-inspiring restaurant and kitchen designs including a 700-room luxury resort with
12 themed restaurants, bakery and pastry kitchens. He extends his creative flair into menu development, while maintaining
balance of highly technical prepping and plating acumen.
In addition to accolades of BC Outstanding Chef of the Year,2006 and nomination into Top Ten Chefs in Alberta by
the Canadian Culinary Federation, Chef Kumar has also had the distinct honour of handling the menu and catering for HRH
Prince Charles during his visit to Papua New Guinea in 2012,and has cooked for The Dalai Lama and Mother Theresa.
