Here’s what A2 looks like
Two BIG pieces of coursework:
• A presentation (of your choice) for which you will need a presentation script and a catalogue
• A creative project: screen play or a film.
We will also do one module of your exam
Spectatorship: Popular film and emotional response.
Example question:Explore some of the ways in which the spectator’s emotional response to popular films is the result of visual elements such as cinematography, special effects or design.
We will study two films for this module: Clockwork
Orange and This is England are potential
choices at the moment.
First task: your presentation
• This should be something that you are passionate about.
• You’re also going to go on a trip to the B.F.I. to research sources.
• It’s a little bit like a university presentation, so it will be good prep for that.
Quick reminder:
Auteur definition: a
film director who influences their films so much that they rank as their author.
